Know What Is Worth Watching
Learn to choose useful building conditions to monitor instead of collecting numbers simply because sensors can measure them.
Turn Measurements Into Evidence
Understand why measuring the right condition, in the right place, over time can turn a guess into useful evidence.
Know When Something Changes
Establish what normal looks like and decide in advance who should act when a measurement meaningfully changes.
About Stick Twenty-Four — The Watch
A building does not stop changing when construction ends. Temperature, humidity, weather, occupants, equipment, filters, water conditions, and energy use can all change over time. Many of those changes happen where the people inside cannot easily see or feel them. Stick Twenty-Four teaches you to decide what is worth watching, establish what normal looked like, and know who acts when something meaningful changes. It also explains why one reading is different from a record collected over time. The goal is not to put sensors everywhere. It is to understand what question each measurement is answering and record enough information for that number to remain useful later.
